MILITIA
Most persons have seen bills placarded about the Town, dissuading persons from enlisting. A correspondent suggests that the disloyal "stickers" who fastened those precious documents on the walls should be themselves subjected to the discipline of the "cat." The only difficulty in the way of such a thing is the "putting the salt on their tails." Moreover the real culprits, and wire movers of this machinery are far different persons from what is generally supposed. The motive power is hatred to Lord Derby. Shame on those who resort to such cowardly means to render a government unpopular! Let them attack it openly as much as they please, so long as they refrain from the assassin-like-stabs, which are unworthy of loyal English subjects of whatever political opinions.
